by 와 until 의 차이

 by   VS   until 

어떤 차이점이 있을까?

 by  

by는 어느 한 시점 전에 일어나는 하나의 사건이다. 

"월요일까지 그 정보를 나에게 보내주시기 부탁드립니다"라고 했을 때

다음주 월요일전 어느 한 시점에 보내달라는 것이다.

• Use by for one specific event that will happen 

before a certain time in the future.

• I need to pay my bill by Friday.

 until 

until은 지금부터 어느 시점까지 지속되는 사건이다.

"그는 런던에서 30일까지 머무를 것이다."라고 했을 때

런던에서 30일까지 계속 지낸다는 것이다.

• Use until for a continuous event that will continue 

and then stop at a certain time in the future.

• Jack will be on vacation until next Friday.
