writing task2 idea - young people volunteer

Some people think that young people should be required to do unpaid work helping people in the community. Are disadvantages of this requirement greater than the benefits for the community and individuals?

 

advantages

- get experience & skills

- learn other's needs thorough helping others

- become a better person → proud themselves

disadvantages

- better to spend time related in career

- hire unpaid worker →  job opportunities ↓

- notice their weakness → stressful/unhappy

 

More and more young people from wealthy countries are spending a short time in communities in poores countries doing unpaid work such as teaching or building houses. Why? Who benefit from this, the community or these young people?

 

Why?

- gain experience → help to find a job/career

- emotional & spiritual growth

- get aid → cost-saving

- better education opportunities for children

- learn advanced skills

 

who benefit? young people

- obtain wide point of view

- influential person to other people → proud of themselves
